How do you shop?

The Budget Fashionista wants to know how you shop as part of her new 2009 TBF Shopping Survey. It takes less than 10 minutes and it's anonymous. It's also good for helping you see your own shopping habits and realize how much you spend each month on clothes and beauty products.

The results will be posted on the Budget Fashionista Web site so you can see how you stack up with other shoppers. (So far, it turns out 37 percent of those who took the survey said they bought most of their beauty products at discount stores such as Target and Wal-Mart.)

Buy Local: After Dinner Mint Cluth

Here's the latest design from Mint Workshop's Karen Balcom, who creates handbags by hand in Chapel Hill. The After Dinner Mint clutch was just listed on her Etsy shop this week and was selling within the first hour of being listed! The bag sells for $36.

Balcom says she's been playing with a lot of textures and more subdued fabrics on the exterior of the bags and using prints on the inside.

Look for her to reintroduce an older design called the Buttermint using graphic pairings of two solid textured fabrics.

First 100 days of Michelle Obama's style

InStyle did a nice job picking Michelle Obama's top 10 perfect looks during her first 100 days in the White House. It's hard to pick one favorite, but I have to say that I liked her best in the emerald green Kai Milla dress at the Stevie Wonder event and her Michael Kors black dress in her formal portrait.
